I recently had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful family of four on Noordhoek Common, located in the picturesque city of Cape Town. It was an absolute delight to capture the unique moments and personalities of each family member against the stunning backdrop of the common.
As a professional photographer, it is important for me to have accurate information about the location and the people I am photographing. Knowing that the children were 4 and 1 years old helped me better understand how to interact with them and capture their personalities in the photos.
Throughout the shoot, I made sure to capture each family member individually, as well as together as a unit. I wanted to highlight their unique personalities and characteristics while also showcasing their strong family bond. I utilized the natural lighting and scenery of the common to create a variety of shots, from playful candid moments to more posed family portraits.

Of course, any family photography does not have to use Noordhoek Common. This is just one of many beautiful places in the far south of the peninsula for family pics.
