Greece Corporate Assignment
I was commissioned last month to photograph a corporate incentive and training assignment in Greece.
The massive event consisted of three sessions, six days each, with delegates arriving from all over Europe – from the Ukraine across to the UK. Each session consisted of gala dinners, beach front dinners with fireworks displays, business meetings, training sessions and some tourist sight-seeing. Each of these events had to be covered with the emphasis on capturing the delegates enjoying themselves and celebrating their achievements. There was close to 4000 delegates over the three sessions!
The nature of this type of photography is to always expect the unexpected. While the overall plan remains the same, there are always unforeseen changes and spur of the moment happenings that need to be covered. As an event photographer I am always available to manage these changes and am always prepared to be on site as and when needed.
This year the event organisers had digital display screens positioned around the resort displaying photos from the previous day’s activities. I was required to edit and share the images needed per day to be shown on these screens. This added some editing time late at night or early morning to the mix. The screens were a great idea and it was gratifying to walk around and see delegates enjoying the photos.
I have done a number of these events over the years and they are always a great experience.
I’d love to share my many years of photography experience by photographing your next event in Cape Town, South Africa or anywhere else in the world. Drop me a line to meet up and discuss your upcoming corporate event.
