Cafe Roux, Deo & Margaret

On Saturday 6 August Cafe Roux in Noordhoek celebrated their 5 year anniversary. Together with this celebration one of their managers, Deo celebrated his marriage to Margaret. What a great occasion .

In his speech, best man Paul Roux told Deo’s story of how his family fled Rwanda after his dad was killed during the ’94 genocide attacks. They walked, swam rivers, crossed borders until eventually meeting up with the Roux family in South Africa. This is something we usually only read about in books. After going through so much in life Deo is an inspiration to many people in the way he treats all and sundry exactly the same without judgement and does so with the biggest of grins.

Thank you to Cafe Roux for the party. Congratulations and best wishes to Deo and Margaret and thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day.

On the photographic side it was great to attend a wedding where I was not the official photographer. This allowed me to play and  experiment with different lenses and different settings. Below is a gallery of images showing the celebrations.
