March 2016 saw me fly over to Barcelona on a photographic assignment to photograph a conference / incentive travel event for 1200 delegates from Eastern Europe and Turkey. The delegates stayed in two hotels in the centre of Barca with their business meetings taking place at the Palau de Congresos which is the large convention centre in university quarter of Barcelona.
The gala dinner which seated all 1200 delegates took place at the magnificent MNAC building – The Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya. The delegates were entertained with beautiful views over the light coloured fountains while arriving at the event. Once inside the majestic building there were musicians, human pyramid displays, local Spanish dancers and acrobats to entertain.
Excursions included a visit to the seaside town of Sitges, the Montserrat Monastery, Camp Nou (Barcelona Football Club stadium) and of course a Gaudi tour.
Another great event in a stunning location and as always extremely well organised.
